On Feburary 16th, the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department had the privilege and honor of unveiling a new sculpture at the Play for All Park in memory of Nancy Rabb. Mrs. Rabb spent decades contributing to the Round Rock community as a philanthropist and volunteer and was one of the driving forces behind the creation of this Park and its various expansions.
Mrs. Rabb believed all children deserve a safe place to play among a circle of friends. This bronze sculpture, appropriately titled “Circle of Friends” by artist Antonio Munoz, will grace the entry to the Play for All Park and will forever serve as a welcome to the Park’s visitors. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Nancy’s friends and Mr. Munoz who made this sculpture possible.
Mrs. Rabb and her husband, Virg, believed something wonderful could be done with their donated land that now hosts both the Rabb House and the Play for All Park. They were right. Families for generations to come will continue to create memories of a lifetime in the nationally award-winning Play for All Park and Rabb House facility.
From our entire Parks and Recreation Department, there are no words that can express our gratitude and admiration for Mrs. Rabb’s contributions to the Round Rock community. Her legacy will continue to grace Round Rock residents for generations to come!
