Body found in Manor may be missing Round Rock man

July 1st the Round Rock Police posted a request for assistance in locating Christopher Thomas Branham. on their Facebook page. He was last seen on June 23rd at the Red Roof Inn at 1990 N. IH 35 wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and laced-up shoes.

Christopher’s family also posted several times on Facebook asking for help in locating Christopher or any information that could help in determining his whereabouts.

Round Rock police announced on a tweet on Friday:

“The remains of an unidentified body were found near Manor Friday morning. The Round Rock Police Department is responding to determine if there is any relation to the missing persons case involving Christopher Branham. The last confirmed sighting of the 26-year-old was on June 24 in Round Rock. If you have any information regarding this case, contact Detective Patrick Turck at or 512-218-7048”

Christopher Branham family followed with this notice on Facebook:

“People of Round Rock, we have reason to believe that the body that was found near Manor yesterday is our son, Christopher Branham. We are still waiting for confirmation, but feel it is safe to say that the search we were planning for next Saturday is canceled. Hundreds of people from the Round Rock community volunteered to help us search, for which we are incredibly thankful! I didn’t get to finish my contact list before we received the call from PD, so I’m letting people know this way. I will update this post once it is confirmed. Thank you for all your support, prayers, and encouraging messages over the past 5 weeks, they really kept us sane and going”

Our hope for the Branham family that if the remains of the unidentified body found near Manor Friday morning are that of Christopher, that finding his body will bring some peace to the family. It is not the best outcome, but they will at least be able to end the pain of not knowing where he is.

If you have any information regarding this case, contact Detective Patrick Turck at or 512-218-7048”
